August 2020 Minutes EOM (10th)

 MINUTES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF KIRTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD at UPSALL ROOM, KIRTON TOWN HALL 10TH AUGUST 2020.

                                Councillors: S Watson, P Watson (and Borough), C Brotherton, L O’Connor

This meeting has been called to discuss the ADMIN of the following:
  1. Staffing

The current way of the Clerk recording her hours was deemed to be unnecessary and it was resolved to go back to the previous method where a monthly allowance of overtime was given to the Clerk to enable her to deal with matters as they arose and not be mindful of overtime accruing.Plus it was felt that the Council could budget better knowing what they were going to pay for.

During the Clerk’s absence a company had been contacted with regards support for HR issues, it was resolved unanimously that this was no longer needed.Clerk will contact them and inform them.

  1. Finance

Banking details have been changed to accommodate the lack of Clerk, these will revert with the bank as soon as possible.

  1. Cemetery

The paperwork from burials and ashes interments during the Clerks absence was all given to the Clerk to file and record.

The Clerk will get the appropriate signage for the Cemetery to show Covid practices.

  1. Park

The Clerk will get the correct signage for the play areas re distancing and handwashing

  1. Town Hall

This is likely to reopen very slowly.

  1. Co-option

As per the mediation meeting, members agreed that a plan to recruit new members should be formulated.

  1. Way forward for the Council

More openness was discussed.Both of members to the Clerk and vice versa.

Date & Time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be on Thursday 20th August beginning at 7 pm.  There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 3pm.
